About Peak Physiotherapy

Joanne Gordon is a chartered physiotherapist, specialising in sports physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, rehabilitation and post-operative care.

I qualified as a physiotherapist with an MSc from the University of Brighton in 2010, preceded by a degree in sports science. With a rich background in both professional and semi-professional settings, I served as the senior physiotherapist for eight seasons at a semi-professional rugby union club, and provided sports massage to athletes at the 2012 London Olympic Games. These experiences have honed my manual therapy skills, and provided extensive expertise in sports injury management and exercise rehabilitation.

My journey in healthcare began with rotations in the NHS, spanning trauma and orthopaedics, neurology, and musculoskeletal outpatient care. This diverse foundation paved the way for specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Having transitioned to the private healthcare sector in 2014, I have spent the past eight years as the physiotherapy manager at a private hospital in Kent. Here, I've commissioned and led both inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy services, striving to deliver exceptional care tailored to individual needs.

As someone deeply passionate about sports, I've actively participated in various activities, including rugby, netball, triathlons, and running events.

My expertise encompasses managing a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, with a special focus on lower limb rehabilitation and post-operative care. At Peak Physiotherapy, my mission is to offer high-quality, evidence-based, and honest care, empowering patients to achieve long-term results and resume the activities they love.
